June 6, 2017 Mary Jo Lakhal is a life-long wildlife and environmental enthusiast with a deep commitment to keep wild animals wild. An educational outreach volunteer for Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, she actively works within the community to share appreciation and understanding of the beautiful wildlife we have in Colorado with children and adults. Take a glimpse into the world of Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. From humble beginnings, we continually grow with the support of our community. Today, we are able to help over 3,000 small mammals, song birds and waterfowl each year. Our precious little patients come to us sick, injured or orphaned and with great care we nurture them back to health and release them back into their natural habitats. We’ll talk about these adorable little critters, their natural habitats, preferences and more. With a few entertaining stories woven throughout.
