Photographing in National Wildlife Refuges

Speaker: Dawn Wilson is the current president of the North American Nature Photography Association. She is full-time photographer who travels extensively, visiting remote locations looking for wildlife to tell their story and raise awareness about wildlife habitat conservation. She writes about many of the places she visits in magazines such as Outdoor Photographer, Colorado Outdoors, Colorado Life, Wyoming Wildlife, National Geographic Digital, Motorhome magazine, and Alaska magazine. Her website is www.dawnwilsonphotography.com.

Program: Dawn will share her insight, knowledge and experience about photographing in national wildlife refuges. With more than 560 refuges across the U.S., including at least one in every state, there is no shortage of great photo opportunities in these areas. She will discuss tips on visiting refuges, some of her favorite refuges and why, and some of the benefits of photographing in there.
