Bald Eagles

Speaker: Dana Bove is a long time Boulder, Colorado, resident and is President and founder of Front Range Nesting Bald Eagle Studies (FRNBES). Dana traded his love for research as a career geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for studies on nesting and winter roosting Bald Eagles and other raptors in the northern Colorado Front Range. A passion for photography, raptors, environmental conservation, and scientific research provide the foundation for his current studies of Bald Eagles and other raptors.

Program: Dana will discuss general characteristics of the region’s Bald Eagles with a focus on breeding populations. In addition, he will share how photography has become one of the foundational tools for his research and related conservation and advocacy work.
