Big Noses, Bigger Attitudes: Northern Elephant Seals Up Close

Speaker: Bob Dean

Program: Northern Elephant Seals are one of the most interesting subjects for photographers, wildlife watchers, and folks interested in biology. These fascinating creatures have come back from the brink of extinction and have established themselves along the Pacific coast of the United States. This program will explore the life cycle, some of the biology, and the habits of Northern Elephant Seals. We’ll also look at the places available for photographers to create great images, and we’ll share some photo tips. We’ll also look at some of the threats of the modern world to animals that have been around for about four million years.
