Year Started Shooting - 2003

How got into photography
My photography passion started in September 2002 when I sold my first photograph at a photo exhibit in Rockport, MA. The excitement of producing a work of art that someone wanted to add to their art collection convinced me that I should pursue my ability to combine my artistic eye with the current camera technology. I purchased my first digital camera that summer. The convergence of software/computer/digital camera technology and an artistic sense has led me to the pursuit of ever exciting landscape, wildlife and action photography.

Favorite Shooting Season - All seasons

Camera Type - Digital

Camera Bodies - Canon 5D Mark 2, Canon 7D; Canon 50D

Lenses - 5Canon 500mm; Canon 100-400mm; Canon 17-55mm, Canon 70-200 II IS L, 24-105 IS L

Favorite Subject - Wildlife

What you like most about doing photography
Traveling far and wide to a wildlife event and being able to witness and photograph a scene that most people never get to see. As a wildlife photographer I often get to experience a wild moment. Being able to capture that moment and sharing with others is a thrill.

Yellowstone, Alaska, Maine; back yard in Silverthorne, Colorado

Most Memorable Experience
Photographing a lynx mother and its kit in Denali National Park. See Lynx Love in my blog: www.richardseeleyphotography.wordpress.com
